IKONIC DESTINATIONS — PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 5 October 2026

IKONIC Destinations respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and New Zealand’s Information Privacy Principles.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website, submit an enquiry, communicate with us, or use our services.

1. WHO WE ARE

IKONIC Destinations is a New Zealand business providing curated group travel and experiences, including wellness days, retreats and wellness experiences, girls’ escapes, bridal and milestone celebrations, curated group experiences, experience days and bespoke group travel.

For privacy enquiries, contact:

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as:

  • • your name;
  • • email address and phone number;
  • • organisation or business name;
  • • location or preferred destination;
  • • group size and proposed travel or experience dates;
  • • budget range and experience preferences;
  • • information you provide through an enquiry form, email, message, questionnaire or other communication;
  • • dietary, accessibility, mobility, health or other requirements that you choose to disclose where relevant to planning or delivering an experience;
  • • marketing preferences and consent;
  • • booking and payment-related information where applicable;
  • • website usage information where this is collected by technologies operating on our website; and
  • • records of our communications with you.

Please avoid providing sensitive personal information that is not reasonably necessary for your enquiry or experience.

Providing personal information is generally voluntary. However, if you do not provide information reasonably required to respond to your enquiry, arrange an experience or deliver a requested service, we may not be able to provide that service.

3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may collect personal information:

  • • directly from you when you submit a website form, email us, communicate with us or make a booking;
  • • when you interact with our marketing or social media;
  • • from a person organising an experience or group on your behalf, where it is reasonable and lawful for them to provide that information;
  • • from suppliers or business partners where necessary to manage an enquiry, booking or experience and where permitted by law; and
  • • automatically through technologies operating on our website, where applicable.

When you submit an enquiry or other form through our website, the information you provide is securely transmitted to and stored within our customer relationship management system.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry and manage our relationship with you.

Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.

Where you separately choose to subscribe to newsletters or marketing communications, that consent is recorded separately. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

4. WHY WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • • respond to enquiries;
  • • understand your group, preferences and requirements;
  • • prepare proposals, itineraries and experience recommendations;
  • • arrange and administer bookings;
  • • communicate about experiences, travel arrangements, changes and logistics;
  • • coordinate with relevant accommodation, venue, transport, activity, wellness, catering and other suppliers;
  • • process or administer payments where applicable;
  • • provide customer service and resolve concerns or complaints;
  • • maintain our customer and supplier relationships;
  • • improve our services, website and customer experience;
  • • maintain appropriate business and financial records;
  • • send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law;
  • • protect our systems and prevent misuse or fraud; and
  • • meet legal, regulatory, accounting, insurance and other legitimate business obligations.

We will use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, a directly related purpose, or another purpose permitted by law.

5. GROUP BOOKINGS AND INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE

For group experiences, the main organiser may provide information about other guests, such as names, dietary requirements, accessibility needs or transport details.

If you provide personal information about another person, please make sure you are authorised to do so and that the person understands their information may be provided to IKONIC Destinations and, where necessary, relevant suppliers for the purpose of planning or delivering the experience.

Where IKONIC Destinations collects personal information about an individual from a group organiser or another person, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the individual is made aware of the collection and the relevant information required by New Zealand privacy law, unless an applicable exception applies. Where appropriate, a group organiser may provide this information to group members on our behalf.

We ask that only information reasonably necessary for planning or delivering the experience is provided.

6. SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with organisations or people involved in providing or supporting our services, including:

  • • accommodation providers;
  • • venues;
  • • transport and transfer providers;
  • • activity and tour operators;
  • • wellness practitioners, guides, caterers and other experience providers;
  • • technology providers supporting our website, email, forms, customer relationship management, document storage and communications;
  • • payment or booking providers where applicable;
  • • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or lawyers; and
  • • government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or authorised by law.

We aim to share only the information reasonably required for the relevant purpose.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. OVERSEAS SERVICE PROVIDERS

Some technology providers, suppliers or other service providers we use may store or process personal information outside New Zealand.

Where an overseas service provider stores or processes personal information on our behalf as our agent, we remain responsible for ensuring that the information is handled appropriately under New Zealand privacy law.

Where we disclose personal information to an overseas person or organisation in circumstances where New Zealand’s cross-border disclosure requirements apply, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the disclosure is permitted and that appropriate privacy safeguards are in place.

8. STORAGE AND SECURITY

We take reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Personal information may be stored within the systems we use to operate IKONIC Destinations, including our customer relationship management system, email, cloud storage and other business platforms.

No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will comply with applicable notification requirements under the Privacy Act 2020.

9. HOW LONG WE KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to manage our relationship with you, and to meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, insurance or dispute-resolution requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we will take appropriate steps to securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it.

10. ACCESSING OR CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate.

To make a request, contact:

Chanelle Breeze
Email: hello@ikonicdestinations.com

We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a correction.

Your rights are subject to the Privacy Act 2020 and any lawful grounds that may apply to withholding information.

11. COOKIES AND WEBSITE TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function properly or that support features available through the website.

Additional analytics, advertising or marketing technologies may be introduced in the future. Where required, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate information or choices relating to their use.

You can control certain cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some technologies may affect how parts of the website function.

12. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where you choose to receive marketing communications from IKONIC Destinations, we may use your contact details to send relevant news, experiences, inspiration, offers or updates.

Submitting a general, customer, trade or supplier enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to marketing communications.

Marketing consent is managed separately from ordinary enquiries.

Commercial electronic messages will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand law, including relevant consent, sender-identification and unsubscribe requirements.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting us.

Communications that are necessary to respond to an enquiry, manage a booking or deliver a requested service are not marketing communications and may still be sent where appropriate.

13. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

Our website may contain links to websites operated by third parties.

Those websites have their own privacy practices and policies. IKONIC Destinations is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services that we do not control.

We encourage you to review the privacy information provided by those third parties where appropriate.

14. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

Our website and services are not specifically directed at children.

Where information about a child is reasonably required for a family or group experience, it should generally be provided by the child’s parent, guardian or an authorised group organiser and limited to information reasonably necessary to plan or deliver the experience.

Where applicable, we will handle information collected about a child from another person consistently with our obligations relating to indirect collection of personal information.

15. PRIVACY CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS

If you have a question or concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact Chanelle Breeze so we can investigate and respond.

You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand if you believe your privacy rights have been breached.

16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, technology or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.
